Origami flower pattern design

Due to my deep passion for pattern design I decided to do my thesis research on “CREATING UNIQUE PATTERN DESIGNS WITH CULTURAL INSPIRATION”.

My goal was to find various ways to create pattern designs with different cultural elements. After months of research and studying textile design, pattern categorizations, different ethnic groups,… I decided to get my inspirations from Asian cultures. Using Japan and Iran as the main sources of inspiration I started my pattern design journey. Here you will see my design process from ideation to a final product.
